What is Complement 3 Glomerulopathy?

We all know the term glomerulonephritis. The term indicates the diseases or groups of diseases that affect the glomerulus of the kidneys. The glomerulus is a crucial part of the kidneys’ nephrons. The damage of the glomerulus is the result of interference in the immunological mechanism. It has been seen that the symptoms of the diseases are generated when any disturbance in the complement system happens. The activation and regulation of complement are complex. Complement is said to be the main element that affects kidney injuries. Moreover, the mutation can happen due to genetic issues, microorganisms, autoimmune issues, and absurd immunoglobulin.

Any glomerulonephritis can be evaluated on the basis of the functioning capability of the kidneys, blood in the urine, and protein in the urine. However, the best evaluation can be done by examining the abnormalities in the complement and renal biopsy. There are a number of abnormalities that happen to the complement and make it dysfunction which results in various glomerulonephritis. Complement 3 glomerulopathy is one such issue. Some of the common approach towards the betterment of these glomerulonephrites is the management of high blood pressure, proteinuria, and making the immune of the body better. Nowadays, the pacification of complement is also done to treat the loss. Glomerulonephritis can turn fatal and result in kidney failure which can be altered with the help of kidney failure Ayurvedic treatment.

Key points

  • C3 Glomerulopathy is a rare condition caused due to complement dysregulation.
  • Diagnosis of the condition can be done through renal biopsy, condition of hematuria, and proteinuria.
  • Certain conditions like post-infectious glomerulonephritis are hard to differentiate from C3 glomerulopathy just only by renal biopsy.
  • The dysregulation of an enzyme called Convertase is the central reason for developing the disease – C3 glomerulopathy.

Fundamentals of Complement 3 Glomerulopathy (C3G)

Complement 3 glomerulopathy is abbreviated as C3G in which C3 is a protein in the blood. It plays a crucial role in the development of the disease and G stands for glomerulonephritis which is the condition of damage of the glomerulus. C3G is inclusive of DDD and C3GN where DDD stands for the dense deposit disease and C3GN is the C3 glomerulonephritis. These are the two patterns in which the damage is caused to the glomeruli and its inflammation. The condition of C3G can get worse with the passing of time if prompt treatment is not given. The damage may expand to the extent that it can result in the failure of the kidneys. Therefore, it is necessary that the right care to the kidneys is provided with the help of kidney disease treatment naturally.

The aim of the treatment process in Ayurveda is always on the elimination of the cause from the core and the same would be done here with the help of herbal medicines and alterations made under kidney failure Ayurvedic treatment. The herbal medicines of Ayurveda may also decrease the chance of kidney transplant and dialysis with its natural therapeutic quality.

What results in C3G?

We have mentioned above the term “complement.” But what is a compliment? The complement system is a compilation of proteins that can be found in the blood. The system helps the body to fight against the foreign elements in the body. These foreign elements could be the disease-causing bacteria and viruses. When an abnormal activation of the complement system happens, the breakdown of normal protein like C3 takes place. After the breakage, the particles of C3 proteins accumulate in the kidneys and cause harm (damage) to the glomeruli. With the damaged glomeruli, it is tough for the kidneys to filter waste from the blood properly and it results in the low production of urine. If this phenomenon continues, it will let the excess waste accumulate within the kidneys and gradually kidneys would lose all its functioning.

There could be various reasons that make the complement system in C3G active in some abnormal ways. At first, some protein the complement system put hurdles in the system and the complement system began to operate in an uncontrolled manner when the system lacks these regulatory proteins. Moreover, some of the congenital mutations of these regulatory proteins decrease the ability of needful control of the system. The development of certain antibodies might also prevent the normal processes. All these phenomena result in the poor regulation of the whole complement system. In the end, we can say that the drivers of C3G can be acquired or genetic. Despite the cause of the poor regulation of the complement system, the damage of the glomerulus is determined. Some of the signs that can be commonly noticed during C3G are:

    • Proteinuria
    • Hematuria
    • Low GFR
    • High creatinine
    • Edema
    • Fatigue

All these signs may contribute to the fatal damage of the kidneys for which kidney disease treatment naturally can be attained. The treatment process helps in the natural pacification of the underlying damages from the core. With the process of Ayurvedic treatment, all the mutations can be alternated and good health can be attained. If you ever get diagnosed with the C3G condition, get the best treatment for yourself so that you can recover soon and healthy. While the medicines and therapies of Ayurveda work for the alteration of internal and root damages, the alterations made in the lifestyle and eating habits support the treatment and life on a physical, mental, emotional, and monetary level.
